About Me

Angus 'El Flaco'

Where do I start? Well, I first started learning to dance salsa back in 2002, 6 months after first being dragged out to a salsa night in North London. Once the 'salsa bug' kicked in I was out attending classes and clubs more than 3 times a week.

In 2004, I then started to dj at one of the clubs to get an experience before landing a bigger residency at a club in Harrow, playing Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha and R&B. A year later and I was then beginning to teach complete beginners the cuban style of salsa. Over the years I have been a DJ at several venues including a major London West End nightclub.

I have also been dj at many private events, (weddings, birthdays, etc) and can also play music from 50's - 90's, Pop, R&B, Rock, Dance, Reggae and more...

Since 2009 and I am now involved with a couple of companies within the salsa scene and internet radio.

URBAN MUSIC AWARDS:

Through the internet radio show, I've had some great opportunites to interview some of the stars, including the Urban Music Awards where I interviewed R&B singer Kele Le Roc, 90's girlband Cleopatra, legendary boxer Frank Bruno, 'Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes' singers K.I.G, as well as other upcoming artists. You can catch some of these interviews on my youtube channel which you can access by clicking this link: http://www.youtube.com/user/DJAngusElFlaco

Other celebrities I've interviewed for the new London Newspaper, 'The London Weekly' include, ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell, celebrity chef Ken Hom, undefeated British boxer Joe Calzaghe, TV presenter Amanda Byram and Culture club's Boy George.
